What You'd Actually Do
Serves as the Senior Data Scientist for CEPE, leading the development and application of advanced data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistical analysis, and enterprise analytics supporting NNSA's statutory responsibilities for independent cost estimating, program evaluation, strategic planning, and enterprise decision-making.
Key Duties
- As a Data Scientist you will: Lead development and application of advanced data science, machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive analytics supporting enterprise decision-making.
- Develop enterprise data architecture, integrate structured and unstructured data sources, establish governance standards, and improve data quality.
- Develop AI-enabled analytic capabilities supporting strategic planning, supply chain analysis, digital twins, scenario planning, and enterprise modeling and simulation.
- Provide authoritative technical leadership while collaborating across organizations and communicating complex analytical findings to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Specialized Experience To qualify for a NQ-4 (GS-15) position, a qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NQ-03 or GS-14.
- An applicant that demonstrates experience applying advanced data science, machine learning, statistical analysis, computational modeling, and enterprise analytics to solve complex organizational problems.
- Experience must include designing predictive models, integrating multiple data sources, developing analytic tools, and communicating technical findings supporting strategic decision-making.
- Experience with enterprise data governance, AI/ML, cloud or large-scale data environments, and classified or highly sensitive information is highly desirable.
